Social Justice by Improving Access to Equity
The Graves Gives Back initiative lays the framework of our commitment to increase social justice by improving access to equity, participation, and rights for everyone impacted by inequality. By actively reinvesting in a wide range of non-profit causes through donations, time, and monetary support, we work hard to improve the lives of our team members while building and sustaining healthy communities in which our properties play a vital role.
In addition to the plethora of local non-profit and property-specific causes and initiatives, Graves Hospitality is pleased to showcase some of our on-going commitments to eliminating inequality.
RACIAL JUSTICE PEACEFUL SOLUTIONS 501c3
Creating a safe and inclusive environment to work, live, shop and play for all members of the Minneapolis Uptown community, Graves Hospitality established this 501c3 to combat violence of all kinds and to promote racial equality and justice. By leveraging our collective influence in whatever ways possible, we work to defeat all forms of systemic racism, to promote racial justice, and to create a safer city for all.
PERIS HILL
Developed by Graves Hospitality, Peris Hill is an innovative affordable housing community in the historical Lowry Hill neighborhood of Minneapolis. First of its kind, Peris Hill includes 45 units of affordable housing with 15 units specifically designated for youth aging out of foster care.
THE GIVING ROOM
Specifically created by Graves Hospitality, The Giving Room is an overnight-stay room package designed for the socially conscious guest. For each overnight hotel stay booked under the program, Graves Hospitality donates the cost of an overnight stay to a homeless child or family in need at a local shelter, empowering guests to make a calculated and measurable improvement in the lives of those facing adversity.
BUTTERBALL
For nearly two decades, Graves Hospitality has partnered with The Butterball Party to create an epic evening of unapologetic enjoyment while raising funds to positively impact the lives of those less fortunate. Each year a variety of non-profits are chosen as beneficiaries targeting a range of causes from combating food insecurity to eliminating racism and financial inequality.
